This year St Paul’s Carnival will be held on Saturday July 2nd and the theme this year is Afrikan Caribbean Folklore.
Come along to this years carnival which is now in its 44th year. St Paul’s carnival is a glittering pageant of costumes, cultures and floats, each reflecting powerful cultural traditions from around the world. Alongside the famous street parade there are a host of sound systems playing different styles of music, live stages featuring local and international artists, spoken word corner co-ordinated by local poets, stalls offering a taste of foods from different continents, a creative environment for families located in St. Agnes Park and pre carnival events including Mas camps where local people can gather to create their own costumes.

Procession: 1pm – 3.30pm (starts and finishes from Carnival Village in Portland Square).
Carnival Presentations: Portland Square 3.30pm – 5.30pm
Mandela’s Hideaway: St Agnes Park 2.00pm-6.00pm
Green Stage: Grosvenor Green – 11.00am-1.00am world record breaking line-up of some of the heaviest Dub & Bass, Soca, Afro-beat, Mento, Street Hop and Reggae Reggae bands.
Portland Square stage 11.00am -10.00pm
showcasing the finest dance, spoken word, and cabaret acts in the city.
Sound Systems: Different Locations, playing until 2.00am
