John Robins | Where is my mind? Tour 2014

“One of the most naturally talented comedians I’ve seen” TELEGRAPH

“A former flat-mate of a clutch of successful Bristol-based comics that included Russell Howard and Jon Richardson, John Robins could be the next of his peer group to go on to greater things.” INDEPENDENT

After a hugely critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival month long run this year with his fifth solo show ‘Where is my mind?’, John Robins is no longer comedy’s best-kept secret!  He is now taking the show across the UK starting on 28th January and culminating on 14th March.

With an hour of raucous stand-up for anyone who’s tried to live in the moment, only to realise that moment happened over a decade ago. The show takes a glance at the happiest day of John’s life, turning 30 and bodily malfunctions. John also unveils his self-created rock ‘n’ roll pseudonym and cover the key issue of how a slightly ordinary name is affecting his showbiz career.

His previous hour-long Edinburgh shows ‘Skinny Love’ (2009), ‘Nomadic Revery’ (2010), ‘Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven’ (2011) and ‘Incredible Scenes’ (2012) received outstanding reviews. After acclaimed appearances in the improvised stand up show ‘Setlist’ at Edinburgh & London Soho, John now holds a regular slot on the show.

John performed stand-up on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3) and appeared on Sarah Millican’s episode of ‘Celebrity Deal Or No Deal’ (Channel 4). Hal featured on the ‘8 Out of 10 Cats / Deal or No Deal Mash Up (CH4). John has written for ‘The News Quiz’ (BBC Radio 4) and appeared on ‘The Russell Howard Show’ (BBC 6Music), ‘The Jon Richardson Show’ (BBC 6music), ‘Word of Mouth’ (BBC Radio 4), ‘The Matt Forde Show’ (Talksport), ‘Drive Time’ (BBC Radio 5Live) and BBC Radio Wales’ topical news show ‘What’s The Story?’.
