The UK’s hottest BBQ and music festival, Grillstock is back for 2013 with Bristol’s event this weekend hotting up to be the biggest and best yet offering original Music, Meat, Mayhem and Moonshine!
24 teams will be competing in the two-day Mac’s BBQ ‘King of the Q’ competition, an authentic two-day, US-style combative cooking extravaganza with seven rounds featuring teams from across the world. The coals at Grillstock will be smoking huge joints of pork, lamb, beef and chicken.
When festival goers get hungry, they can sample the wares from over fifty traders cooking up the finest Deep South cuisine this side of Alabama.
The Jim Beam music stage provides the festival with a huge soundtrack of deep south beats and American roots tunes from Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, Katmen, Valerie June, Ha Ha Tonka and The James Hunter Six among others.
The Brooklyn Brewery Dive Bar will host an almighty selection of their freshly brewed craft beers, with ‘flash sales’ of one-off special beers throughout the weekend and the Orchard Pig Cider Bar will cater for Bristol residents for whom the apple is the only fruit. The Brooklyn Brewery Dive Bar Stage will be offering an awesome selection of acoustic blues and Brooklyn fuelled hillbilly tunes including Sicknote Steve, Radio Nasties, Lady Nade and the Silhouettes and an appearance by Levi Roots on Sunday.
