Emeli Sandé played the Colston Hall last night to a sell out crowd and proved that she deserves the hype.
This concert was the hottest ticket in town so far this year and for those lucky enough to be there it was a very memorable performance.
Opening for Emeli was the fantastic and soulful, Jacob Banks, whose cover of Rihanna’s “Stay” was mesmerising.
Emeli’s popularity has skyrocketed in the last couple of years helped by her incredible talent and genuine personality. Performing songs from “Our Version of Events”, the album which won the coveted “Best Album” title at this year’s Brit Awards, she took to the stage and put on a stadium-worthy performance.
Emeli charmed the audience and had everyone on their feet singing along, especially during the final song, “Next to me”. The evening was over in a flash despite a 14 song setlist. We can’t wait to welcome Emeli back to Bristol in the future, we just wish it was next week!
