The Chocolate Festival launches in Bristol!
The popular festival announces its debut in Bristol’s Harbourside on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th April 2012. Admission is free
This Easter weekend, Bristol’s Harbourside will be transformed into a chocolate lover’s paradise. With a selection of stands selling and showcasing chocolate in all its forms, an Easter Egg Trail and other family friendly activities, live acoustic music and special chocolatey offers at many of the Harbour’s well-known businesses and attractions.
The Chocolate Festival, already a local favourite in London, Brighton and Oxford, will be located at the top of the Cascade Steps, on the Centre Promenade in the city centre, the main gateway to Harbourside. Visitors can expect an array of chocolate and chocolate products – from warming hot chocolate to artisan truffles, chocolate cakes to chocolate fudge, churros with chocolate and even Mexican chocolate chilli!
It is the perfect place to stock up on delicious Easter gifts for family, friends, and even yourself!
Other Fun Activities: In addition, Harbourside will host a special programme of free activities, sponsored by Bristol City Council, to entertain and delight younger chocolate lovers. Local illustration collective Drawn in Bristol will offer Spring animal inspired colouring in sessions. Learn about how Bristol invented the Easter egg and take a historic chocolate factory tour. Take to the water and ‘Find the Easter Bunny’ on Bristol Ferry Boat Company’s special ferry trips. Complete the Easter egg trail around the Harbourside, and win a unique prize!
The Harbourside gets involved: Harbourside’s many cafés, restaurants, cultural and art organisations will take part by offering special chocolatey treats. The area’s leading tourist attractions will all be involved. A full list of all events will be announced on www.festivalchocolate.co.uk.
