There is nothing better on a hot summer day than a bit of outdoor swimming. Our guide to the regions lidos will help you make a splash this summer.

LIDO :: Restaurant, Spa & Pool, Bristol

This Victorian lido was beutifully restored and reopened in 2008.  Tucked away in the heart of Clifton lies this hidden gem. This heated outdoor pool offers much more than just swimming. With a sauna, steam room, outdoor jacuzzi and poolside bar you will not want to leave.

You can also book in for spa treatments if you really want to be pampered.

This is a members only swimming club but non members may buy a swimming ticket Monday – Friday between 1pm and 4pm subject to availability. To find out more visit the website.

Portishead Open Air Pool

Portishead Open Air Pool is a 33m heated outdoor pool situated at the Lakegrounds in Portishead, with stunning views of the Bristol Channel from the sun terraces.

This is more affordable and accessible to the public than the Clifton Lido because there are no restrictions on times or a membership.

Greenbank Pool, Street

Greenbank Pool, StreetThe Greenbank pool is a heated outdoor swimming pool in Street and is open throughout the summer.

It features 30 x1 2m main pool, semi-circular childrens pool and splash area with slide, fountains and water jets.

It is surrounded by a spacious lawn so that you can relax and enjoy a great family day out.
