Bristol Harbour Festival is delighted to announce the return of the event’s Saturday evening fireworks display, thanks to Firemagic and GE Oil and Gas. On Saturday 27th July at 10pm, the skies above the harbour will once again light up as the festival ends its second day with a spectacular Saturday night finale.
Crowds are being invited to assemble along the two mile stretch of harbour and look to the skies for the display that will be fired with the kind permission of Umberslade, from their development site behind the Mshed. The fireworks are being created by local fireworks experts Firemagic and the finale is sponsored by GE Oil and Gas.
Simon Cook, Assistant Mayor responsible for Tourism said;
“We want to extend our thanks to our sponsor GE Oil and Gas, along with Clevedon based Firemagic, who I am sure will create a wonderful show and Umberslade who have allowed us to use their land to launch from. The Richmond Event Management team have worked extremely hard to ensure one of the festival’s biggest highlights returns and we hope the crowds enjoy them.’
Dean Arnison, Subsea Controls Business Leader at GE Oil and Gas explains:
“We are delighted to have been able to help the Bristol Harbour Festival reinstate the fireworks. We know the popularity of the Saturday night finale to festival goers and look forward to enjoying a good old-fashioned display from the harbourside to a backdrop of festival stages, tall ships, boats and thousands of spectators.”
Along with the fireworks, there are a number of new and exciting developments to the festival this year, including a new Water Activity Programme, new Treasure Island children’s area in Castle Park, DJ Derek performing his last outdoor gig and the debut of the Thekla Harbour Stage and Community Bandstand in The Grove car park.
